The Pestana Golf Resort has five golf courses: Gramacho, Vale da Pinta, Silves, Alto and Vila Sol. All fantastic courses, that boast well maintained practice facilities. The European Tour qualifier for seniors is played every year at Pestana’s courses.
Palmares has three 9 hole loops; Alvor, Lagos and Praia, where each loop has its own character. Some of the holes are located right next to the beach, so if the golf does not go as you wish, you can always take a dip.
Penina has three courses and has hosted several European competitions since it opened. It is a classic design that requires golfers to stay between the trees.
Morgado has two excellent courses; Morgado and Alamos. Morgado is a championship course where the European Tour’s Portuguese Open has been hosted;. whereas, Alamos is a technical and shorter course. Both courses have a great view of the Monchique mountains.
Salgados is set in a beautiful nature reserve for birds – located right next to Salgados Beach and the Salgados Lagoon. The golf course offers a mix of risk and reward holes while enjoying the scenery, a fun course to play.
Amendoeira has two fantastic courses, the Faldo and O’Connor Jr. The Faldo course is a championship venue with very challenging holes and great views – it has been named Portugal’s best course (Golf cart recommended, included in the fee). O’Connor Jr. is a flatter, wider, and slightly longer course that also meets a high standard. Both courses are kept to a high quality all year round. Amendoeira also has an exceptional par 3 course with lighting.
